Autogramme
Erst 2002 hab ich es geschafft Ed Bishop um ein Autogramm zu bitten:

Dear Mr. Bishop,
in 1971 when I was 11 years old, my parents allowed me to watch your outstanding series “UFO”. In the following years I took a lot of card boxes to build computer consoles for my own “moon base” to discover the UFOs in time to send the fighters out...
Although I became a convinced Star Trek fan a year later, I remember UFO with enthusiasm again and again. The book about the series, which was published in Germany at that time is the only one that survived 30 years of trouble in life, still standing in my bookshelf and Commander Straker is for me much more legendary than Captain Kirk.
The recent publishing of the UFO series on DVD in Great Britain - which I ordered immediately (thanks to the Internet) - actually gave me the chance to see all episodes (German television left out 10 episodes). At least I found it very interesting to hear you act with your original voice! As you might know it is a common “sport” in Germany to synchronise movies. Your “German voice” at this time was the well known German actor Jürgen Thormann, who could be seen in many of TV movies, too.
I also enjoyed it to see you in different roles on the wide screen or on TV.
I attached a photo to this letter and kindly request your autograph. I added an address sticker and an international answer ticket to the letter, hoping that it doesn't involve too much effort for you. I talked to the “Deutsche Post” about this matter, but although there's the Euro and the European Union this seems to be still the only way... It would be a great precious treasure for me, if you could do me this favour.

Nur 8 Tage später bekam ich die untesrstehende Autogramme zurück. Ed Bishop gab sogar die Beigefügten "Internationalen Antwortscheine" mit seinem Antwortbrief zurück. Auch seine Synchronstimme Jürgen Thormann, den ich auch als Darsteller sehr schätze, sendete mir ein Autogramm. Michael Billington wollte Geld für ein Autogramm....da habe ich dann doch drauf verzichtet.......
